Program Description

Are you currently unemployed and passionate about enhancing the quality of life and dignity of Albertans through community and home caregiving? This is the right program for you!

If you are currently unemployed, the Community and Home Care Worker Integrated Training Program will prepare you with the essential knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to work with individuals requiring assisted living.

The Community and Homecare Integrated Training Program offers a full-time training program, which consists of:

  • 1 week of Essential Skills
  • 14 weeks of Occupational Skills
  • 1 week of Employability Skills
  • 4 weeks of Work Experience (with practicum placement)
