Upon completion of the economics specialization, graduates will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a variety of business settings, including finance, consulting, and government. They will have a deep understanding of the economic factors that influence business decisions and be able to use this knowledge to drive growth and success for their organizations.

Courses

Globalization Issues in Economics – Learn the issues and opportunities created by a global economy and how to manage the risks of globalization. Topics include financial and currency crises; stock market booms and busts; social and labor unrest; cultural, ethical and legal issues in conducting international business.

**The offering of electives varies each semester and a list is published prior to the opening of registration. Courses in Contemporary Topics for each subject area are often presented to ensure that students have a chance to delve deeply into current business issues in the ecosystem.
