The Graduate School of Children's Studies aims to develop human resources who can play an active role as nursery teachers, kindergarten teachers, and elementary school teachers with high abilities as highly qualified professionals.

In order to support the growth of children and respond appropriately to various problems, it is necessary to have the ability to understand the situation surrounding children from a broad perspective, identify problems, and seek solutions while coordinating with the field. Will be done.

首都体育学院is the only higher physical education college in Beijing. In 1960, it was transformed into Beijing Normal University of Physical Education. In 1962, it was merged into Beijing Normal University. In 1979, the Beijing Normal University of Physical Education was restored. In 2000, it was renamed the首都体育学院. In 2020, according to the classified development plan of Beijing's public universities, our school was identified as a "high-level characteristic university".

The school has 8 teaching units, including the School of Physical Education and Training, the School of Sports Science and Health, the School of Martial Arts and Performance, the School of Management and Communication, the School of Leisure and Social Sports, the School of Continuing Education, the School of International Education, and the School of Marxism, as well as sports labor. Two directly affiliated research institutions, including the Intelligent Research Institute and the Sports-Medical Fusion Innovation Center.
