Program Description

In our Apparel Design and Apparel Studies programs you will develop an understanding of the textile and clothing development process, including design, production, and marketing. You will put your creative, critical, and technical thinking skills into action and engage with a curriculum that focuses on the future of apparel.

With research centers like the Wearable Technology Lab located right in the apparel department, you will have access to interdisciplinary research focused on the intersection between apparel and new technology. Undergraduate students studying apparel design find careers as designers, patternmakers, quality control specialists, and more. Apparel studies graduate students find careers in academia, product development, product research, and more.
