It is not surprising that in biomedical sciences traditionally illustrations are created to enable communication between scientist and author, teacher and student, or physician and patient. Art and science come together in scientific illustration.

The Master Scientific Illustration is an international study programme in which you will meet students from European countries and beyond. Unique in Europe. It is a cooperation between the Faculty of Arts at the Zuyd University of Applied Science in Maastricht and the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences at Maastricht University.

Outstanding training

At Zuyd, you can look forward to getting your international career off to a great start. You will receive outstanding training for a senior or managerial position. Zuyd’s project-based learning method allows you to work in small groups of no more than 15 students, supported by a tutor. This method encourages you to actively participate in group discussions and to enhance your problem-solving skills.

Zuyd offers you a small-scale, intimate learning environment with all the benefits of a larger institution. Despite being one of the largest UAS’s in the country, all of Zuyd’s faculties are relatively small, tight-knit communities, where you find a personal and welcoming atmosphere.
